231 cosmetic products (8 categories incl. foundation, mascara, lip products, concealer, eye and face products) bought in the US and Canada screened for total fluorine by PIGE; 29 products (20 with high total F of 0.384 ug F/cm2 or more) analysed by targeted LC-MS/MS and GC-MS. PFAS 22 to 10,500 ng/g product; 6:2 and 8:2 fluorotelomer alcohols, methacrylates and phosphate esters most common; most ingredient lists did not disclose fluorinated compounds.
